Induction sealing is a non contact process by which a foil disk
or "seal" is bonded to a container. This unique process
can be used with most any style container and closure for sealing
foods, drugs, beverages, solvents, and chemicals.
The Process
Containers are filled and capped by the existing process using
the caps that are now prelined with the Induction Innerseal
rather than the standard liner. The cap is then exposed to an
electromagnetic field generated by a sealing head. The field,
unaffected by the package or product, penetrates the cap and
induces a strong electrical current in the foil. The current
generates heat that melts the liner heat seal film. As the container
leaves the field and the structures cool, the foil is heat sealed
to the container finish.

The Product
Protection
|
Tamper Evident |
Foil innerseal
discourages tampering by showing evidence of post-packaging
entry into container. |
 |
 |
Leak Proof |
Eliminates costly
and messy recalls due to product leakage.
Increases Shelf Life: Innerseals form an airtight barrier
to "lock" in product freshness, reducing spoilage,
evaporation and increasing shelf life. |
 |
 |
Reduces Pilferage |
Bonded foil
seals discourage a pilferer and makes the product a less
likely target. |
 |
 |
Enhances Customer Confidence |
The user sees
the seal's integrity and feels secure that the product
is unadulterated and fresh. |

Why Induction
Sealing? The Reasons...
High Quality
To protect the purity of your products, you should choose the
process, equipment and materials that provide reliable seals
that are leakproof and tamperproof. The experience of many packagers
has shown that induction sealing produces excellent results. |
 |
Low Cost
Induction Sealing equipment is far less costly, requires less
maintenance and is much easier to install than other types of
sealing equipment. The one-step sealing process itself is also
low in cost; no extra handling or double operations-the capped
containers merely pass underneath the induction sealing head
without actual physical contact. The innerseal wafer combines
the innerseal and a resealable cap liner for one-step insertion
in the cap, resulting in a combined low cost. |
 |
Simplicity
There's nothing complicated about setting up an induction sealing
line. The Lepel Solid State Cap sealing Generator may be remotely
located, out of the way; the sealing head positioned over an
existing conveyor or with its own conveyor. Output power can
be varied to fit a wide range of production requirements. |
